Autumn

This is a beautiful handmade quilt given to Alden by his great Aunt, Clara Fletcher. I will work on a better close up so you can see the detail, it is so cool!  We use it all the time for floor time, rolling around and practicing to crawl.

Laundry Time

Alden is starting to sit up more and more on his own!  We were at the Vaughn's beach house a few weekends ago and didn't have a great chair for Alden, so Brian's mom pulled out the laundry basket.  A tried and true baby entertainer that she used on her boys too.   It has turned out to be one of Alden's favorite places to be, he can sit up a little, lean back a little, and all his toys are piled up in the basket around him.  The above photos were taken at the end of Sept, and now he is really sitting up on his own, although the boppy helps.  He can do it, but if he is concentrating on a toy he does topple over! (multi-tasking is still hard)

Cascadia Camping

Our one and only camping outing this summer, and Aldens first roadtrip in a VW!  We had a great time camping with friends in the Cascades, and celebrated our second wedding anniversary at Breitenbush Hot Springs.  A great end of summer trip!

Baby likes Reggae Music

For Jill's birthday we went to an outdoor concert at the Portland Zoo... Reggae and zoo animals all in one visit!  Aldens first look at an elephant, and his first reggae show.

Alden is sporting his ear protection in baby blue.  So cute we couldn't resist taking so many photos.

Ashland

Our first big trip with the whole family down to Ashland Oregon to visit friends.  Was great to visit Ann and Clark, the madrone trees, and the dry hills.  Alden had his first swim in a pool and loved it!
